主讲人：孙小琴教授

主讲人简介：孙小琴，女，杭州师范大学特聘教授，浙江省“钱江学者”。现任杭州师范大学外语部副主任，曾获得浙江大学英语语言文学硕士学位、美国太平洋大学二外教学研究硕士学位和美国加州大学伯克莱分校跨语言学习发展研究博士学位。孙教授在美国学习和工作20年，担任过美国加州巴顿大学、俄勒冈波特兰州立大学教育研究院、纽约州立大学奥斯威哥分校等大学的教授、终身教授。曾主持过美国教育部项目，担任过美国教育部项目申请审核人及项目评审员，撰写评估报告18篇；在美国一级专业协会宣读论文17次。回国后积极参与上海外国语学院牵头中国六校大学英语教材改革项目和杭州师范大学外语自主学习中心建设项目。

讲座摘要：Contemporary researches in neuroscience and neurolinguistics have enhanced our understanding of how brain works, which, in turn, has broadened our perspectives as to why and how best and effective instruction should look like. This lecture focuses on 1) some fundamental concepts in brain functions in relation to second language acquisition, and 2) examples of instructional strategies that apply those findings to real-life instructions.
